BIO
Rita E. Bond is a poet and inspirational writer whose workflows from a deep love for God and a heartfelt desire to uplift others. Her writing career began as a natural extension of her compassion for people and her gift for crafting words that speak to the soul. Readers are drawn to the sincerity and spiritual grounding that shape her voice—qualities reflected in the way she “blesses the hearts of many through her deep, abiding love for God, people and her poignantly crafted, inspirational poetry and wisdom.”
Rita’s journey as an author deepened after the passing of her beloved husband, Ed, in 2020. In the quiet and tender season that followed, she felt led by God to share the wisdom gained from their 34-year marriage. About a year after his transition to Heaven, she began writing what would become Love Endures, released in 2025—a guidebook offering timeless “wisdom nuggets for engaged and married couples.” The book reflects her belief that love, faith, and commitment can shape a marriage that endures life’s joys and challenges.
In addition to Love Endures, Rita is the author of My Heart Speaks, a collection of poetry that continues to resonate with readers seeking encouragement and spiritual reflection. Her first book, He Walks With Me, though no longer in print, remains cherished by those who encountered her early work; she still holds a few treasured copies. Rita regularly participates in book signings at local bookstores and community events, where she enjoys connecting with readers and sharing the stories behind her writing.
Beyond her books, Rita’s creative life is enriched by singing, traveling, arranging flowers, and serving her community. She is a mentor to many and volunteers at events such as Juneteenth celebrations, Back-to-School drives, and programs supporting the homeless. Her writing continues to be shaped by her faith, her lived experiences, and her commitment to encouraging others. Rita currently resides in Hampton Roads, Virginia, where she continues to write with purpose and grace.
